So, one day I gave Kanyon a few strawberries in a little bowl for a snack. I, of course, had some things to do, so I left her at the kitchen counter to eat. When I came back to check on her, this is what I found.
I must have left the entire package of strawberries on the counter, within her reach. I walk into the kitchen and I see her bowl FULL of strawberries. I notice that there are a couple bites taken out of a couple berries that have spilled over the side of her bowl. As I looked a little closer, I noticed that she had taken just ONE bite out of EVERY SINGLE STRAWBERRY!

I love October.
I told Kanyon that she could pick out a few pumpkins for the house, so we stopped at this local farmers place and picked out some pumpkins.

Another great thing about October is dressing up and enjoying all the festivities of the season! We've already started. This year for Halloween, Kanyon is a flower and Ridge is a bumblebee. On Friday night we went to our favorite Treehouse Musuem and participated in their Enchanted Trick or Treat Night. The kids were dressed up in their costumes and were on a Quest to find the Golden Rose. They had to travel to different stations in the museum and get clues from people such as Dorthy & the Scarecrow, Snow White, Robin Hood, and Sleeping Beauty, who at the end was holding the golden rose.
This is a picture of Ridge w/o out the "bee" part of his costume on.

Kanyon would not let me take a picture of her, so I had to quickly snap this one. I am hoping that I can get some better pictures of their costumes as time goes on.

Here was Kanyon, getting a "pop" from Humpty Dumpty.

On Saturday, we had our annual neighboorhood HOA election meeting and party. It will be nice to not have the "HOA VP" status anymore. As we were waiting to walk over to the park, Kanyon played outside. I bought her this cute little owl hat and I showed it to her that morning. At that time she wanted NOTHING to do with it. But later, she came outside with it on her head (she put it on the right way all by herself).

Kanyon said the pumpkins were dirty, so she had to clean them.

At the party, we had a HUGE castle bounce house. Kanyon had lots of fun jumping around and going down the slide!

She HAD to be the one to feed Baby Ridge...don't mind the frosting on her lip from the chocolate Halloween cupcake she ate just moments before this pic was taken.
