Summer Time, Summer Time

Last weekend we went to the Lake with Kate, Blake, Mason, Logan, & Carson! It was so much fun to be pulled behind the boat in a huge tube! Even the kids loved it!

Aunt Kate & Kanyon

A little girl with a funny-looking sunburn: If you look close, you can practically see Jake's finger marks across her forehead. You can definitely tell which places on her face got missed when he was applying the sunscreen. We'll learn from our mistakes...

Kanyon and I are doing "Mommy & Me" swim classes with our neighbor Deborah and her son Bryant. They have been fun...but she isn't going to be an Olympic swimmer at the end of this class. Kanyon likes to be in the water, just not UNDER it. We are learning to float on our back, blow bubbles, and chase toys!! Fun fun fun!

Something else that was fun was Katie's 28th Birthday dinner that we had at our house. However, the only pics that I took were of Kanyon. Sorry Kate!! We had a great dinner with cheesecake for dessert. As you will see in the pictures below, Kanyon loved it. I am not sure if she loved eating it or playing with it more. She was having so much fun we just let her go with it. If you don't like messy kids, don't scroll down.

A Happy Beginning to July.

We had a fun 4th of July weekend. The only bad thing is that I didn't take ONE picture!! I know, TERRIBLE! We had a lot of fun up at Schofield Lake: boating, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, watching fireworks in the rain...all that fun stuff. Kanyon had so much fun!

Recently, my friend Marilyn invited us to go swimming. She has a son named Summit that is close to Kanyons age. They have alot of fun playing together. Kanyon loves to splash in the water. Her and I have recently started to take "Mommy & Me" swimming lessons.

As you read on the blog post before this one, we are finishing our basement. At the same time, we have hired the same contractor to paint the inside of our entire house (minus bedrooms). This is my color scheme. The 3 colors pictured here are just for accent walls: Chocolate in the front room, Green for the kitchen, and Blue in the TV room. The rest of the walls are going to be a darkish tan. I am excited for all our summer-home-improvement-projects.
